The Paradise ‘Zafrani Biryani Festival’ is an effort to present, revive and reintroduce to the die-hard Biryani lovers a rare and much-loved cuisine of the Nawabs and their guests. It is no longer reserved for a select few, but to anyone who is looking to taste a delightful variety lost to the mists of time. The Zafrani Biryani is available in two variants – Chicken and Mutton.
About – Zafrani Biryani!
The Zafrani Biryani thrived on a very secret ingredient and the recipe of which was held only within the confines of the royal Mughal family. Zafrani Biryani, a regular dish that limited to the royal Mughal family, has found its way to the Paradise kitchen. But, the Paradise Zafrani Biryani has a twist of its own. It took Chef Vijay Anand Bakshi and the whole team two months to bring out the best recipe.
Here, Zafran or saffron is the ‘secret’ ingredient which is mixed with milk and is used as layers and cooked in a moderate heat along with the meat. The Zafrani Biryani comparatively is richer in texture; it is softer and has a stronger aroma which will wake up your appetite and make you salivate.
Vijay Anand Bakshi, Corporate Chef, Paradise said, “All our methods to prepare and serve the Zafrani Biryani have been planned down to the minutest of details. From the kitchen to the table, we are confident of delivering the best that we can. We have identified and sourced each of the ingredients for them to blend so as to give the best flavour and aroma. Our ‘secret’ ingredient, the saffron, has been sourced specially for this festival and yet we have priced our variants at very affordable pricing to ensure that each Biryani lover can taste our unique offering.”
Unluckily, the food is not available for vegetarians and comes only in mutton and chicken variants at a reasonable price of Rs 180 (Chicken) and Rs 195 (Mutton) for dine-in. However, different prices for takeaway and delivery are applicable.
Note: Price does not include taxes!

The ‘Zafrani Biryani Festival’ is available at all outlets across Bengaluru (Indiranagar, Kormangala, New BEL Road, J.P Nagar, Electronic City, Whitefield).
The ‘Zafrani Biryani Festival’ began on February 1 and will go on until March 31. It’s on only for a short period, and whether it becomes a part of the Paradise menu or not depends on the demand. So, if you love Biryani, do not miss out on this chance.
