The US moves India under Level 3 travel restriction list

The United States has now eased travel restrictions from India and has now added India under Level 3 restricted countries. Earlier, India was under Level 4 which is the highest level on the list, this decision was undertaken by the State Department on Monday after looking into the improved Covid-19 situation in the country. Level 4 of travel restriction to the US meant that there is no travel at all between these two countries.

On Monday, the CDC issued a Level 3 travel notice to India where they mentioned, “Your risk of contracting COVID-19 and developing severe symptoms may be lower if you are fully vaccinated with an FDA authorised vaccine. Before planning any international travel, please review the CDC”s specific recommendations for vaccinated and unvaccinated travellers”.

Level 3 of travel notice means that now Americans can travel to the country with proper precautionary measures.

US citizens who are travelling to India are strongly advised to get fully vaccinated, additionally, they need to follow necessary safety measurements to protect themselves and follow covid-19 necessary protocols.

The CDC also mentions citizens taking the necessary Flu shots to stay protected against a further outbreak.

US citizens travelling to India must obey all the measures introduced by Indian officials, designed to protect them from contracting the virus.
