The Orient Express is all set to make a comeback soon

The iconic orient express which started its journey in the year 1888 is all set to make a comeback soon.

The journey of the train when started was between Paris to Istanbul and was legendary on its own, however, the journey was short-lived as the train went off the tracks in the year 1977.

The train was famed for being the most elegant and most expensive mode of travel across Europe.

As per the reports now, the luxury train is making a comeback where it has been said that the company which is helping to restart is inviting passengers to relive the legendary travel experience which was known as the ‘Nostalgie-Istanbul-Orient-Express.

The famous train will be making a comeback in 2024 with 17 carriages that were found in Poland, and have been acquired by Accor, the French hospitality group.

The set of 17 carriages from the Nostalgie-Istanbul-Orient-Express, dating from the 1920s and 1930s, is being restored by architect Maxime d’Angeac.

Among the carriages found in Poland, 12 are sleeping cars, a restaurant car and three lounge cars, which are all enhanced with their original wood-panelled interiors, and art decor.

The Orient Express is now all set to revive its original route, using the rediscovered carriages and the first nine restored cars will be revealed in December, as per the reports.

Further reports suggest that the first Paris-Istanbul service will launch in time for the Paris 2024 Olympics.
