ITC HOTELS announced the addition of ITC Kohenur in Hyderabad as the 12th hotel to join its luxury hotel portfolio, from June 1, 2018. Located in the heart of Hyderabad’s new business district (HITEC City) and overlooking the picturesque Durgam Lake, ITC Kohenur is an ode to those rare and priceless experiences and creations. It’s a celebration of tradition and a triumph of culture. The hotel takes inspiration from the famed jewel and offers amongst the most exceptional accommodation and dining experiences.
The hotel offers 271 high technology enabled rooms, suites and serviced apartments, six culinary brands reflecting ITC’s tradition of culinary excellence, state-of-the-art meeting and convention spaces, Kaya Kalp spa and well-being offerings, complemented by the customary warmth of ITC Hotels. The warmness, the welcoming attitude, the love and affection generally associated with an ITC Hotels’ associate were all there to be seen and experienced.
The room was exceptional. I was given the Tower Room with Balcony, and I must say, I was awestruck by the way the room had been done and set up. The room’s size was large enough, more extensive than the usual ITC rooms in other ITC properties, but a tad smaller than the ITC Grand Chola, which I think has got some of the most massive sized rooms.
The room was very comfortable with a great balcony view. The rooms are equipped with a desk and a flat-screen TV. The bed’s placement in the center of the room with the study right behind it was cool. Rooms are complete with a private bathroom equipped with a bath and free toiletries. The washroom was fantastic as well.
A modern Indian ethos emphasizes ITC Kohenur’s architecture and design philosophy, manifest in the endeavors to enable a ‘sense of destination’ through a showcase of local cuisine, arts, and culture matched by hi-tech accent on services to enhance the guest experience. A stand-out in-room tech feature is the amalgamation of all services through the E-Butler iPad.
ITC’s signature brand of culinary excellence is exhibited in the six distinct food and beverage destinations including the acclaimed Dum Pukht in a new avatar; Begum’s showcasing influences from the Royal kitchens of Hyderabad. ITC Kohenur will also house Yi Jing, a new brand from ITC, featuring Classic and Creative Chinese cuisine. The 4th edition of the group’s pan-Italian brand, Ottimo will complement the Skypoint Bar on the rooftop, offering a picturesque view of the Hyderabad skyline.
Their all-day dining restaurant Golconda Pavilion serves a superb breakfast which is luxurious and fantastic with a wide choice of specialties from around the world – my favorite was the bakery section. Golconda Pavilion, the 24*7 restaurant will showcase inventive international cuisine along with a significant ‘Local Love’ repertoire feature Telangana and Andhra favorites.
I spent all my evenings at Peacock (the bar) which served some innovative and ingenious cocktails. Complementing the expansive glass frontage overlooking the gardens and the pool, the Peacock bar epitomises elegance with an extensive collection of fine beverages.
Facilities and Features!
ITC’s indigenous spa brand Kaya Kalp Spa finds resonance with an array of signature treatments that underscore a well-being philosophy. The brand philosophy extends to the ‘Wellness’ rooms, which boast of an array of well-being features like Vitamin C showers, yoga and gym mats, gym kit, in-room plants to improve air quality as well as health-focused minibars. Emphasising ITC Hotel’s brand of ‘Sleeep,’ ITC Kohenur offers curated menus and asleep ensemble designed to aid a good night’s sleep.
What an experience! Everything in ITC Kohenur deserves recognition and appreciation. Overall my stay with ITC kohenur was beautiful and worth coming back. With assets like a team and the hospitality of ITC, the hotel is a sure recommend from me. Cheers! You can get more details on https://www.itchotels.in/hotels/hyderabad/itckohenur.html
