As hotels are now opening up to welcome tourists I have had an opportunity to visit some of the places in Bangalore and experience the new normal for tourists who are wishing to stay at some of the top places to stay in Bangalore.
One of the hotels that has been open during the pandemic and lockdown as well with guests staying with all safety protocols in place had invited me for staycation experience and I immediately agreed as it is one of the famous and my favourite hotel to experience the stay. Located in Whitefield, it is The DEN Hotel Whitefield.
The DEN hotel in Whitefield is one of the premier places of stay in and around the office rich areas of Whitefield, ITPB, Mahadevpura and KR Puram. One of the preferred places of stay for many on-site office visitors, The DEN is now opened up for tourists.
I had an opportunity to visit and experience the stay here and the hotel which has amazing views from the top floor is what I wanted to look forward.
A luxurious curated stay was organised by the management and with complete safety and hygiene practices followed by the staff, the hotel is now welcoming tourists. From the moment you step on to the floors of the hotel, you will be assured that you are in safe hands. The hotel takes responsibility to keep your comfort, entertainment, style and safety in mind.
The single-occupancy starting at 6999 INR and double occupancy at 8999 INR the hotel offers luxury yet not compromising on safety and hygiene practice.
As I entered the hotel, the first thing that they did is to check the body temperature which is infrared and contactless. Once, we are of normal body temperature we were then allowed to enter the hotel and later we were asked to check in our luggage which was sanitized with hospital grade sanitizer.
I was welcomed following social distancing guidelines and then was briefed with the facilities and amenities provided here. This included a room with skyline room which I dreamt of staying at, a private movie screening, A mixology session with a resident bartender, etc.
With a good mood I followed their rules and regulations which is needed to be followed to maintain safety and well being of both staff and visitors, I checked in to the mesmerizing room. Before checking in to the room, there was a note that the room is thoroughly sanitized to welcome guests and the manager said that the room will be sanitized and will be locked for a minimum of 24 hours before the next guest checked in.
So, with a positive mind, I checked in to the room and look forwarded to the views of the Bangalore Skyline. It turned more mesmerizing as the sun began to set and the lights starting to flicker up. With a room with a view, I was never feeling like leaving the location.
I was instructed that we would be having dinner at the rooftop location and I look forward to the dining location. Following all the safety standards, the DEN management prepare the food with hygiene in place. Later the staff will also be checked for temperature before they serve the meal to the guests. The rooftop location is redesigned keeping social distance in mind and I had to follow this and sat at a scenic location.
The dinner was served and I had the same enjoying the night view from the rooftop restaurant and checked in back to the room. The DEN offers Breakfast in Bed option which on the next day I ordered for the breakfast in Bed. The breakfast on bed tasted amazing as I ate the food with a morning view of the city.
Later I explored the hotel premises and everywhere they followed the safety and sanitization strictly, I was impressed as this is the need of the hour at these difficult times.
The hotel now offers programmes and offers such as Cook with the Chef, Gym is open with sanitization after every use, sauna and spa facility for rejuvenation, lunch which is lavish and easy to order and nightcap for a night of healthy sleep.
The hotel also has an offer of late checkout which one can utilize, altogether, the hotel is now ready for tourists to stay and my staycation here has been memorable. Overall, I miss the views from my room which I stayed here.
