The country of Spain said that it will start welcoming vaccinated tourists from June 07. The announcement was made by Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez on Friday where he had attended an international tourism fair in Madrid. He also mentioned that travelers from Britain would be allowed to visit from the 24th of May onwards.
Speaking about the new travel news, the PM said, “From June 7, all vaccinated people and their families will be welcome in our country, Spain, regardless of their country of origin. From next Monday, the 24th of May, Spain will be delighted to receive British tourists again into our country”.
The travelers will be allowed to visit the country without restrictions however it is still unclear on the requirement of the Covid-19 test report. British tourists are one of the largest tourists who visit Spain and due to covid-19 restrictions, they had to travel carrying Covid-19 negative test report.
Spain also announced that it will allow Japanese tourists to enter the country for non-essential travel from Monday onwards I,e from 24th of May. Spain is said to be one of the topmost tourist attraction in the world saw over 70% dip in tourists in the year 2020 as there were lockdown in many countries and tourism was affected.
In the year 2021, the country is expecting 45 million tourists said the tourism minister of the country.
