Flying out of India in recent times? Then, we have a new update for you.
In a new development, If you are taking an Air India flight to different destinations then QR Code along with your RT-PCR Test reports is mandatory from May 22, 2021, onwards. Passengers with no QR code will not be allowed to board the flight and this is due to the fact that many false/forged test results were shown by the passengers which has put many other’s lives at risk. This decision has been taken as foolproof against the test results which passenger provides.
This rule is applicable for International Flights passengers who depart from India and also if the destination country has made it mandatory for arriving passengers to carry an RT-PCR Test report.
A memorandum regarding the same has been issued by the Ministry of Civil Aviation and the condition is the same for all the flights taken from India to a different International destination. The memorandum also states that all airlines need to make necessary arrangements as well as provide the necessary support.
As the coronavirus cases have been rising in India, several countries have barred the flights, and India is currently the worst-hit country by the pandemic in the world. India is currently in second place after the US is many deaths and it has had devastating effects in its second wave of the pandemic.
