Pa Pa Ya : A luxurious Asian Bistro

The Pa Pa Ya is a modern Asian bistro & tapas bar from the House of Massive Restaurants and best defined as a chic, modern and radical reinterpretation of Asian cuisine. Remodeling the pan-Asian dining experience, Pa Pa Ya is conformity of various cooking techniques and cultures found across the Asian continent.

Now, Pa Pa Ya has taken the Asian cuisine to a whole new level with flavors inspired from several countries across Asia and the plating and presentation left us in wonder every time a new dish came to our table. So for all the foodie out there who wants to know how the experience at Saket’s Pa Pa Ya was, here’s MacroTraveller take:

Pa Pa Ya oozes allurement with its well lit, crimson-walled interiors. There are two slick bars—one for cocktails, with molecular mixology flourishes, and the other for some of the best sushi in the city. The menu is completely innovative, developed over several months of research, with painstaking attention to detail, formulating unique flavor profiles for each dish served. The menu is over a dozen pages long, approximately half of it dedicated to shareable tapas and sushi.

The menu serves up Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, Malaysian dishes. Innovative sushi lovers, this way, please. Pamper your palate and eyes with the Sushi Burger, Sushi Pizza, Hot Sushi and Carbon Sushi. Every dish that followed was evenly mesmerizing. I urge you to try the crisp lotus stem chips, which do douse in an addictive smoky and sticky-sweet honey chili sauce. Truly lip-smacking! Don’t miss fiery kimchi fried rice too!

Other equally delightful were the deep-fried soft-shell crab buns with sriracha tartar sauce. Note: I didn’t taste it. My fellow friends did. My friends recommend the exquisite Crab and Scallop Ravioli and the Vegetarian Leek and Water Chestnut dim sum and the freakish Roasted Aubergine.

My tummy is full, and I tried desserts at the end, the restaurant offered me a great yuzu and wasabi sorbet. A Salted caramel, coconut and white chocolate flavors at the end of my meal.

I admire the estimated balance between the expected and the unexpected on the menu and good balance of beg options as well.
