UK has always been on top of my wish list to visit for a very long time as its one of the world’s top tourist destinations, attracting upward of 15 million visitors each and every year. and what better time to visit the United Kingdom and London in Particular than in Summer. I planned to visit London with my family for a weeklong holiday. I decided to work on the itinerary myself rather than a package tour as that gives me the flexibility to visit places of family common interest in leisure. During my Planning session, I had to figure out a central location to stay and the ideal location was Paddington which is easily connected from Heathrow Airport just 15 minutes away via the Heathrow Express. The Best hotel that suited by requirement and easily accessible to all tourist destinations as the epicentre which is also family friendly is One of London’s grandest Victorian hotels, Hilton London Paddington.
London is a vibrant City that is rich on culture and heritage for the longest time and its a powerhouse of arts and entertainment center, and 50 years after the Beatles, the country’s music scene still rocks London also boasts one of the planet’s greatest concentrations of cultural attractions. From royal palaces to the people’s parliament, from Roman ruins to castles and cathedrals, you could spend endless days exploring London’s sites without ever running out of unique things to see and do. Our Travel Itinerary was all set.
As we arrived at Terminal 4 of one of the busiest airports in the world, Heathrow Airport in UK. The easiest and cheapest way to reach London and Hilton Paddington was via Heathrow express and make sure you book your travel tickets via train in advance online so that you can get a better discount as well. The Heathrow Express runs every 20-30 minutes and once you reach the Paddington Station, just head straight out and you will notice an access directly connecting you to the hotel which makes life just so easy.
The easiest mode of Transportation in London is via Tube and there are four London Underground lines on our doorstep — Circle, Hammersmith & City, District, and Bakerloo.I would surely say, this place is the best connected hotel in London.
The check-in process was smooth and easy and I had chosen the Queen Hilton Suite, An Art Deco-style suite had a separate living room with a sofa bed, and a private bedroom queen Size bed as we were a family of 4 adults and as an arrival welcome, I was greeted with fresh fruits and a box of chocolates.
My room at the Hilton Paddington was Perfect as expected. Needless to say, it was cozy for a family of 4 as the room was pretty welcoming as the room was very spacious and well-appointed, just the way I like it.
The Queen size bed was pretty large and comfortable, and there was a well-sized desk/study area, and even a small lounge section with a table and chairs. The beds were comfortable and real comfy especially after a long day of sightseeing London.
The Room had many more Amenities such as a flat-screen TV with on-demand movies, an alarm clock, in-room safe, and filter coffee machine. The Wi-Fi Connectivity was perfect too especially for a guy like me who makes a living on internet.
As a special privilege as the premium guests, we had access to the Executive lounge. The Executive Lounge, located on the ground floor, with complimentary food and refreshments throughout the day. It is perfect for the niche crowd and also to have a quick bite anything you feel like snacking before you head out.
There is breakfast served from 6:30 am to 10:30 am, lunch from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, afternoon tea from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm and dinner from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm and the Lounge closes 10:00 pm.
If you are looking at Dining at the hotel, they do have options based on your mood.
THE BRASSERIE: This restaurant offers locally produced English ingredients with an Asian influence at the Hilton London Paddington hotel and it is Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.I had Indian cuisine Dinner as well and was pretty scrumptious.
To sum up my experience, I am glad I did the right selection of choosing Hilton Paddington that acts as the main hub connecting the airport and central London and you do have easy access to visit prominent places in the vicinity like Oxford Street, Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens, Notting Hill and Portobello Road Market, Buckingham Palace, Madame Tussauds etc. A perfect hotel for both family and business Travelers.
