Malaysia to offer Visa on Arrival service from June 01

This is a piece of good news for people who are planning to travel to Malaysia as the country has announced a Visa on Arrival (VoA) for Indian travellers who wish to travel to the country through specific entry points.

This rule will be applicable starting June 01, 2022, onwards.

Elaborating on this, the Immigration Department of Malaysia said that the VoA fees of MYR 200 (US$46) and travellers need to show that they have at least US$500 in cash/debit/credit/traveller’s cheque or any e-money which is certified by the Central Bank of Malaysia.

Travellers can stay for 15 days with a confirmed air ticket.

As reported earlier, Malaysia opened its doors for fully-vaccinated and quarantine-free travel from May 1, 2022. As such, fully-vaccinated inbound travellers are no longer required to undergo pre-departure and on-arrival Covid-19 tests, including children aged 17 years and below

In case you need to apply for a visa, you can now apply for the same online. As per the reports, more than 18000 seats between India and Malaysia through Malaysia Airlines, IndiGo, Malindo Air, AirAsia, and Air India Express are offered weekly.
