MacroTraveller Fitness Journey, How i lost 42 kgs from 126.6 Kgs to 84.6 kgs Part 1

Yes, you read it right. This is the blog dedicated to my fitness journey which has left many including me how fitness is important in one’s life.

Before to start, here is a quick view of how things turned bad and how things are turning good recently.

Having been travelling for at least 12 years and being in the Blogging business for more than 15 years, I had an unusual lifestyle. From late-night binge eats to attending many food reviews I had a very unhealthy lifestyle.

It was getting difficult for me to manage and it was directly affecting my body physically and also mentally it was very hectic. I remember after these many years I looked at my weight and it turned out to be over 120kilograms and it was in the morbidly obese category.

Yes, at 126.6 kg’s I felt it is the very high time since I need to concentrate on my body and fitness.

Since January 26, 2020, even climbing staircase or walking at a distance was feeling heavy for my body and also felt breathlessness. This ringed an alarm to my brain as I am not a smoker or addicted to alcohol yet I felt the same feelings which they experienced and that too because of the weight.

So, I strictly decided to turn into fitness and concentrate on reducing weight and yes it is not a magic that you can lose your weight within months. So I searched online for hours together and came up with a diet which would help me lose weight yet not affect my daily metabolic activities.

Although gymnasiums and other therapies such as bariatric surgery are promoted to lose weight, I somehow felt to stick to my diet and also nominal exercise for a bit daily which has helped me lose weight where I stand now.

So, I began my journey to lose weight firstly starting with a strict diet which includes no Sugar, No whites and also no oil. So I carefully looked into dishes which would make one’s mouth water yet it’s very healthy with no oil nor sugar content in them.

The second and most important thing which I concentrated on is a walk daily. As I was in morbidly obese category I tried to start my walk for short distance like 2kms in a day which was difficult then, yes I never left my hope or my schedule as no day was my cheat day.

Slowly and steadily, I could notice slight changes where I was able to walk for more distance and also I felt my breathing capacity also increased than it was before. And a slight blow I felt was the Nation went under lockdown due to Coronavirus situation. This made me change my schedule but I stuck to what I planned however the situation is now different.

I started to walk daily in my apartment, while the diet was constant the only change was to walk daily in my apartment. Thanks to FitBit I kept a track of my heart rate, number of steps and number of kilometres.

From 2kms it became 5kms, from 5 it became 7kms and from 7-15 and the number of steps, km have grown exponentially yet the food remained the same. This has helped me to reduce a staggering 40 kilograms in 5 months.

With a new look, I am able to do the things which were incapable of me when I weighed a staggering 126kgs early January.  Slowly, seeing my transformation journey I got many DM’s and calls where they wanted to know my fitness schedule.

Hence, in next series of blogs, I will mention on how one can undergo changes even though you are working from home yet you need a strong grit and determination as long as you have a strong mind, you can achieve what you had dreamt to become.
