Italy imposes new travel restrictions as covid-19 cases increases.

The European Nation of Italy has tightened curbs on unvaccinated travelers to control covid-19. Travelers will have limited access to several places and services, and the discovery of the Omicron variant has made it difficult for the tourism sector everywhere.

However, Italy is now seeing a surge of coronavirus, prompting authorities to impose stricter rules and regulations.

The new guidelines introduced by Italy allow only fully vaccinated people or those who have recovered from Covid-19 recently to enter bars and restaurants. Only such people will be allowed to visit Museums in the country and go to cinemas and clubs.

Unvaccinated people will get a green health pass after taking the RT-PCR test within 48 hours prior. The country police have already started imposing restrictions from early hours. If anyone caught traveling without Health Certificate on a bus, train, tram, etc. would be fined 400 Euros fine.

Italy has the highest vaccination rates, with 80% of the population having received either first or both doses of vaccine. And around 15% have received a booster shot. The country has seen a spike in covid infections in recent weeks.

Face masks are to be worn outdoors or at shopping districts in Rome.
