IRCTC to run Shirdi Yatra tourist train

As per the latest reports, a Bharat Darshan special tourist train named Shirdi Yatra is to be run by IRCTC and it will be operated from Madhurai.

 

Reports have suggested that 4 important cities namely Pandharpur, Shani Shingnapur, Shirdi, and Mantralayam will be covered in this yatra and the package costs around 7060INR per person for a 7-day trip. However, the journey will be in SL class only.Ā 

 

The package will include accommodation in non-AC rooms, road transfers in non-AC vehicles and will provide vegetarian food. Additionally, travel insurance, tour escort, protective kits to travellers, sanitisers and masks will be provided by the government body.

 

Furthermore, this is an expansion of Bharat Darshan tours which has been introduced by IRCTC where previously Shri Ramayana Yatra Tours was launched to promote spiritual tourism in the country. The first tour began on November 7, 2021, from Delhi’s Safdarjung Railway Station, which covered all the places that are associated with Lord Rama.

 

As per IRCTC, the tours were an overwhelming success and was booked entirely. Those interested in the train journey were even given the option to opt forĀ Pilgrim Special Tourist TrainsĀ andĀ Deluxe Tourist TrainsĀ depending on their budget.
