HyperX Cloud Stinger Headphones | #MTTech

Kingston HyperX was born as a market proposition for the high-performance gaming PC offering solid-state hard drives with specifications that caught the attention of users and quickly began to give way to the nascent brand among PC world competitors. With the passing of the years, HyperX grew and ceased to be just a brand of components and became a producer of the computer for the PC player offering from the already known RAM, SSDs and a full range of keyboards, mice, mouse pads. Cloud family dedicated to hearing aids that from the beginning had great acceptance among the public.

It’s no use having the best PC or the best game console if you do not have the right accessory to enjoy your environment in charge of the music and the special effects of the games. Don’t you think? Today I would like to tell you about the latest HyperX headphones in my hands: the Cloud Stingers. The HyperX Cloud Stinger features HyperX signature memory foam and 50mm directional drivers to deliver a comfortable, high-quality sound experience at an MRP of INR 4,499/-. It’s exclusively available on Amazon India.

HyperX Cloud Stinger weighs just 275 grams. It’s built with 90-degree rotating ear pads to provide hours of comfort for console and PC gaming. Those who enjoy cooperative video games, especially shooters, know the importance of time and concentration to succeed. The minimal extra movement, a failure in communication, can mean valuable seconds and the defeat of your team. Well, Kingston gave MacroTraveller the opportunity to try out their HyperX Cloud Stinger gaming headset.

Design of HyperX Cloud Stingers!

At first glance, the HyperX Cloud Stingers have a sturdy and elegant design. However, in spite of their size, they are quite light, being able to spend hours playing without being disturbed. They have an adjustable metal bracket that fits perfectly to your head, preventing them from sliding and that you have to accommodate them at every moment.

Hearing aid pads cover ears completely, isolating you from distracting sounds. The built-in microphone is located in the left earphone, looks quite well and blends well with the set. Under the right handset, you find a slider for the volume. It’s obvious that Kingston has put a lot of effort into integrating each element of the HyperX Cloud Stinger harmoniously, and in fact has achieved it.

The Microphone of HyperX Cloud Stingers!

The HyperX Cloud Stinger has a stereo jack connector that fits perfectly into the input on the joystick of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. In my case, I was able to test it on my Apple MacBook. The sound was cleaner compared to other headsets. For connectivity to the PC and the Xbox One adapter, the HyperX Cloud Stinger includes an adapter that extends two jack connectors, one for audio output, and one for microphone input.

The scope of the microphone is awe-inspiring. You can hear your voice with total clarity without sacrificing environmental sound, being able to listen to the sound of TV and other people, without interfering with the sound of your voice. Something that will also thank gamers is the simple way you can turn the microphone on and off. Only turn it up to silence it or return it to its original position to activate it again.

Sound and Audio Quality of HyperX Cloud Stingers!

From a technical point of view, this audio accessory also has a frequency response between 18Hz and 23000Hz and an impedance of 30 ohms. Microphone performance? It is unidirectional, comes with noise canceling function and benefits the user with a frequency response between 50 and 18000 Hz.

In my opinion and experience with a PC and a Mac, these HyperX headphones look good, among other things having listened to video with Dolby sound and played music whose sound I have adjusted using a 7-band manual equalizer. I do not recommend using this headset to the maximum of its volume, mainly for health issues (or at least do not use it for a long time), because the range is quite high. And it is not that the sounds burst and distort, there is a balance well cared for between bass and treble, something you can notice and enjoy.

MacroTraveller Judgment | #MTTech

The HyperX Cloud Stinger fully met my expectations; the design is very accomplished and visually appealing. The sound is of good quality, and you will enjoy being a fan of music or video games. The ease of use and modulation of the microphone and headphones will make life easier for you in gaming and video conferencing. Maybe the distance from the microphone to the mouth is a little big; however, the sensitivity of this makes up quite well.

Verdict: Highly Recommended.
