Huawei P30 Pro Review
Huawei P30 Pro from Huawei, a Chinese manufacturer is here and I am quite impressed by it on its first use. One of the powerful phone from Huawei, the P30 Pro packs amazing features along with a good UI, processing speed and camera.
To start, the design of P30 Pro has stunning designs where the screen is taller and narrower and the design of the phone is compact when held and also the phone is easy to use it one-handed. On the front screen, there is a small waterdrop cut that has a camera. The front side of the phone is a 6.47-inch OLED panel with FHD+ display. The FHD+ screen improves battery life by consuming less battery than QHD or AMOLED display. The colour accuracy is very good where it supports over 16m colours and also the brightness is adaptable for its sunlight display and night display.
The dimension of the phone includes 158 x 73.4 x 8.4 mm with Glass front and black and aluminium frame. The body of the phone is IP68 dust/water resistant which can resist water up to 2 m for 30 minutes. The resolution of the phone includes 1080 x 2340 pixels, 19.5:9 ratios and around 398 PPI density.
The hardware of the phone comes with Android 9.0 Pie OS upgradable to Android 10.0, P30 Pro uses HiSilicon Kirin 980 chipset with 7nm node where the processer is as fast as the Snapdragon 855. The EMUI feature in the phone is very stable and when tried and tested, I haven’t faced any issues and the feature is more polished and easy where none of the services connected with EMUI doesn’t face any issues. The phone runs on Octa-core (2×2.6 GHz Cortex-A76 & 2×1.92 GHz Cortex-A76 & 4×1.8 GHz Cortex-A55) CPU and Mali-G76 MP10 GPU.
Being a true flagship phone, Huawei P30 Pro has one of the best battery life where it runs on Non-removable Li-Po 4200mAH Battery with Fast Charging 40W charger and Fast Wireless Charger which uses 15W. The battery runs for about 2 days of medium usage and I guarantee it will run for a week with minimalistic usage of the phone.
P30 Pro has dual sim slots where one of the sim slots is hybrid. Both the sim slots support nano sim cards. The internal memory of phone comes with 128GB with 6GB RAM, 128GB 8GB RAM, 256GB 8GB RAM, 512GB 8GB RAM. The extendable memory can be up to 256GB where you can use the hybrid sim slot.
P30 Supports WLAN Wi-Fi where it runs on Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band GPS, NFC, Infrared port is available, the phone gets charged via USB 3.0 Type C and it can be used for data transfer too. The phone has a loudspeaker beside charging point and it does not have 3.5mm headphone jack (which is a turn off for any music listener).
Coming to the main feature of P30, it’s Quad-Camera. P30 pro uses a Leica camera where the back camera has 3 main sensor camera. The primary camera is 40MP, f/1.6, 27mm (wide), 1/1.7″, PDAF, OIS, the primary camera is joined by another 20 MP, f/2.2, 16mm (ultrawide), 1/2.7″, PDAF and Periscope 8 MP, f/3.4, 125mm (telephoto), 1/4.0″, PDAF, OIS, 5x optical zoom.
The zoom lens uses RYGB filters instead of RGB filters which helps it to take more light intake and cut down the size of the photo which in turn allows you with better low-light shots, one of the best Camera features in the market the Huawei P30 Pro offers you crisp and clear images even during low light.
Video options in P30 Pro include [email protected], [email protected], [email protected] (gyro-EIS), [email protected] which is good for Vlogs and normal videos which can be taken during any excursion etc. On the front side, the selfie camera of Huawei P30 Pro comes with 32 MP, f/2.0, 26mm (wide), 1/2.8″, 0.8µm, although the camera clarity of front side lags behind flagship devices, the P30 manages to capture good images with less space-consuming per image. The video of the front camera includes 1080p with 30fps
#Macrotraveller verdict is that Huawei P30 phone is good for flagship devices, considering the facilities of battery life, better photography and better videography you can consider the phone and explore your vacations/excursions etc.
