Himachal Pradesh tightens entry rules where registration on covid portals Is a must

Amid rising cases of coronavirus, the Himachal Pradesh government has tightened entry rules, making it mandatory for visitors to register themselves on covid e-portal.

In the new order, chief secretary Ram Subhang Singh said all inter-state movement to the state will be monitored through registration on covid e-portal for contact tracing.

Daily or weekend commuters such as industrialists, traders, suppliers, factory workers, project proponents, service providers, government officials and people intending to commute for medical purposes for entering and exiting the state or vice-versa are exempted from the restrictions subject to their registration on the portal.

Children below age 18 when accompanied by parents or guardians with vaccination certificates will be exempted. 

Additionally, all goods and carrier movement for inland and exports will be exempted. 

The state government reimposed curbs to regulate the entry of tourists in August after the rise in the number of covid19 the cases.

In order to enter Himachal Pradesh, a tourist should either carry a negative RT-PCR/RAT test report or a vaccine certificate. 

The RT-PCR test report should not be older than 72 hours and the RAT should not be older than 24 hours before entering the state.
