Malaysia cannot be described in words, but only can live and relive the experience. It is the place which has the right mix of people who love and care for you so much that you feel at home away from home.
It has the right mixture of places that would interest one and all for all age groups.the Place bursts out with culture and festivals and the warmness of the people gets on you and its so happening place that you would regret to leave such a paradise.
Geographically, Malaysia has 11 states and 2 federal territories (Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya) form Peninsular Malaysia which is separated by the South China Sea from East Malaysia which includes the 2 states (Sabah and Sarawak on the island of Borneo) and a third federal territory, the island of Labuan.
A country that can offer you anything and everything and would love to checkout the best places in Malaysia.
Though my first trip to Malaysia was in last year August 2013 and i must say “I am floored” though my travel was restricted to Kuala lumpur only.
I wish to visit the beautiful country that always have something surprising in-store for all the people.
My top 5 Bucket-list places to visit in Malaysia would be as Follows:
1)The Langkawi- Magical islands
Langkawi is a beautiful island in the northwestern part of Peninsular Malaysia and have heard so much about it that i regret visiting it during my first Malaysia visit, life always gives you 2 chances and i think the 2nd one is here.
Heard langkawi as one of the most mesmerising islands to visit in the world which is virgin islands and a perfect getaway place for anyone who would like to relax on the beach with the salt breeze making you thirsty and also the soft sand touching you.
The main advantages of the place is it is very economical to stay.It has some Amazing things to go in Langkawi. A perfect beach side island that you would like to spend your day rather than your pockets as it is very economical.
2) KL & batu caves.
Kuala Lumpur is the capital of Malaysia. It is a very busy city bursting with tourists as it has numerous great sights and attractions. Besides that there are simply too many choices when it comes to dining options. It also has some amazing options of cuisines to dine the typical Asian way and feel the essence of the place. KL is known as a shoppers paradise, there are are numerous huge shopping malls where you can literally shop till you drop and also small colonies of Indian and Chinese origin which makes you feel like home.Kuala Lumpur has many interesting places to visit such as Petronas Twin Towers, Merdeka Square, Chinatown,KL aquarium, Birds park etc. Batu Caves is 12 kms from KL and is known as an important Hindi tourist place where it has a limestone temple on top of the hill and also a huge Statue of Lord Murugan in front of the temple.
Sipadan is known as one of the best diving spots in the world and is a diver’s paradise as the view underwater is just mind blowing and you got to experience it. Sipadan Island used to be open to public, but after the government concluded that the island and its surroundings were quickly deteriorating the island became a protected marine park. but as an alternative, diving is still possible, but visitors stay overnight at the neighbouring islands of Mabul or Kapalai.
Sipadan is a very exclusive diving spot and you will have to pay right through your nose for a diving trip to the island, but its totally worth it.
‘City of Entertainment’ is the perfect name for Genting highlands. It is a very popular destination as it is more of a getaway from the typical hot and humid weather in Kuala Lumpur. Genting Highlands is quite famous for casinos like Las Vegas and Macau. There is a huge theme park, which makes it a perfect destination for families with kids. The cable car journey is totally breathtaking with awesome view.
Perhentian is known for scuba diving and snorkelling at very affordable prices of accommodation.accommodation. Perhentian is a very popular island among tourists. As it has crystal clear water that will blow your mind away and you will be having the time of your life at this island.
Overall, the it has been a tough one to decide my top 5 Bucket list places to visit in Malaysia.
There are some things money can’t buy and the experience of such sorts falls under them.
