It is the most beautiful hotel in Yercaud. The hotel was very nice, and it was a road trip from Bengaluru. It was in the entrance of Yercaud, and the weather was enjoyable. Yercaud seemed a good idea – Around 230 km from Bengaluru, Yercaud is a quaint little off-the-beat hill station and perhaps, the closest hill station from the city. Another advantage to its location is that the Salem railway station is just a 30km drive away. At the heart of the property lies the lobby, which was meticulously crafted to reflect a mix of modern elements and the cultural heritage of the place, through its sleek design and chic architecture.
Our check-in was brisk, and generally, the staff is helpful. The rooms are very spacious – have all the amenities – and offer the perfect place for a relaxing weekend. The rooms were, and the housekeeping services were also excellent. The room had a small balcony which gave a valley view and some apart of the Salem city view. Some rooms are installed with glass floors that showcase a glorious view of the majestic valley below. The views of the hillside from the resort are mind-blowing. It has flat-screen satellite TV, a sofa and a small fridge. They also have an electric kettle. The private bathroom includes a shower and free toiletries. The hotel ambience itself was very good – apt to take a small walk around and enjoy nature. They are also disabled-friendly. Mobile network signal is weak in the rooms, but good wifi connectivity makes up for it.
Food was the best part. Take a dig into some delicious local cuisine, paired with divine continental delicacies for an exemplary experience that will guarantee to satiate all your cravings at their in-house restaurant. It was of good quality and really tasty but, too expensive. We had our lunch at Salem Heights once we checked in and decided to have dinner elsewhere primarily due to their pricing. It had an extensive spread of dishes (South and North Indian, continental, bakery, live egg, dosa counters, healthy diet, etc) and almost all the dishes were very tasty.
The next day’s breakfast was included with the room tariff; hence we had our breakfast there. We loved it, it wasn’t buffet, but a la carte. The A la carte menu has the best of all cuisines that will delight your taste buds. Sit down for a casual brunch or romantic dinner in a spectacular setting at the Sky Walk and marvel at the picturesque views. Pop a bottle of champagne or get a whiskey on the rocks, to disappear into a world of your own at Salem Rocks. The view at night is breathtaking. That was a delightful surprise. I should appreciate and thank their service. They were very courteous and served with a smile.

Swimming pool and spa were good, and the reception staff was extremely courteous from arrival till departure. Unwind at the Bodhi spa with their signature therapies to experience bliss, where you leave behind the stress of yesterday, to rejuvenate and revitalize into a new self for tomorrow. The cherry on the cake is they have a Skywalk, and the view and experience are just excellent.
The resort is imminent to the lake too, so as a family we went boating for some relaxation and fun. Everyone should visit someday either as friends or family for some time away from the city life as there not much cellular service. This worked as a significant plus point as we learned to relax and come back home rejuvenated.
Start early from Bangalore, preferably by 5:30 am. The green hills before Dharmapuri present a fantastic sight in the morning. Check-in time at the hotel is 2 pm, so you may want to take a breakfast break at one of the roadside restaurants or reach Yercaud early and go for boating first and then come back to the hotel, maybe request early check-in if rooms are available or enjoy a walk inside the hotel premises.
