Goa to soon get another international airport

Starting September 01, 2022, Goa is all set to welcome its second international airport ie, Mopa Airport.

The Mopa Airport is a Greenfield airport in Pernem and with the opening of Mopa Airport, it is expected to reduce a considerable amount of air traffic load at the present Dabolim airport.

Dabolim airport is located in a military airbase INS Hansa and is shared with the Indian Navy. Mopa airport will be a civilian airport and will cater to civic traffic full time.

Goa is one of the popular tourist destinations both nationally and internationally, this state is visited by more than eight million people and with the opening of the new civic airport, these numbers would be rising exponentially.

Additionally, Goa has many tourist development projects where the state has heli-tourism, improved security at the beaches, ecotourism in forest regions and with the opening of a new airport the state is expecting more tourists to visit and explore places in Goa.

Mopa Airport is located in North Goa and the places in North Goa are some of the tourism-friendly where you can connect to Chorao Island, Grande Islands, beaches like Querim, Coco, Vagator, Anjuna, Baga, Calangute, Candolim which are some of the popular places to visit during your trip to Goa.
