France imposes compulsory quarantine on travellers coming from India

In a bid to control covid cases in the country of France has decided to impose a 10 day compulsory quarantine for people arriving in India. Due to the rising coronavirus cases, that has battered India for past month the country is under overwhelming stage.

The move comes after days where France has already banned flights coming from Brazil to stop P1 variant from entering. In addition to India, France has made mandatory quarantine for passengers from Argentina, Chile and South Africa.

Government spokesperson to France, Mr Gabriel Attal said,  “For certain countries where the health situation is very serious and worrisome in particular, we will again tighten the screws.”

He further stated that India and many countries will be added to the list where travel restrictions will be unveiled in coming days.e

India has been battered by coronavirus cases where the country has been recording over 2~3 lakh cases daily. Witnessing the situation in India, The USA, UK, Hong Kong, New Zealand has issued warning to its citizens against traveling to India. Some countries have already banned flights.
