With the hotel’s own freshly roasted coffee at Cafe LUX*, craft beers at the K-Bar and a unique sensory experience at the Tea House, resort living has never tasted so good here.
Amari: this Indian restaurant is headed by Michelin Award-winning chef, Vineet. This is one of the resort’s newest restaurants which provide you with Indian dishes with a twist. Chef Vineet Bhatia who is a head chef here won 2 Michelin Awards one in 2001 and the other in 2006. Apart from Amari, Vineet also has 2 restaurants called Zakia situated in London and Geneva. His masterful technique makes the textures and flavours of India shine, in sumptuous, subtly spiced dishes with contemporary flair.
Duck Laundry: Head over to this Chinese restaurant named Duck Laundry. The speciality of this place is they have most of the menu containing Duck including the famous Peking Duck. Duck Laundry is the top tabled restaurant in Mauritius offering contemporary style Chinese dishes such as Dim sum, live noodle-making stations, a wood-fired duck oven and a Chinese barbecue station complete the experience, crowned by a varied selection of Chinese teas and Asian spirits.
MIXE: MIXE is an all-day dining restaurant with a beautiful view of the ocean and an expansive swimming pool. This all-day dining restaurant is known for its Island Breakfast which is huge and you get fresh breakfast buffet. It’s a spectacular spot: there’s a Josper-style grill, live cooking stations, Asian and Spicy Curry corners, glass tandoor, saj oven for oriental bread-making and a Japanese teppanyaki area. Beach Rouge: Located near to the beach, Beach Rouge is a chilled out place where you can enjoy spectacular views of the Indian ocean. The food here is available for Lunch and dinner. The interior decors look like there is a hint of French Rivera. There is a lounge area where you can enjoy cocktails and tapas on your rest day. You can even rest on the cushion and enjoy the sunsets along the ocean along with beautiful music played by DJ Live. You get a local, fresh-from-the-sea produce shines in the kitchen, where chefs whip up tantalising feasts of the island’s best seasonal fare.
Cafe Lux*: This is for coffee connoisseurs, Cafe Lux* provides you with the finest selection of coffee beans and coffee where you would enjoy the cup of coffee day or night. Great coffee begins with freshly ground beans, so the hotel roasts their own on-site roasting rooms, which can be explored on our aromatic behind-the-scenes tour. Their specialist baristas keep up with all the latest trends and techniques – including Cold Press, Pour Overs and Nitro coffee. Bespoke ‘pod’ machines and a variety of Café LUX* blends allow guests to enjoy an aromatic cup in their room, and even at home.
K-Bar: This craft beer point is named after Kelly Hoppen who designed most of the rooms of the Lux* Belle Mare. This is Lux* First Microbrewery project where they entertain dragon inspired cocktails and exclusive range of craft beers available on tap.
Mari Kontan: Explore the vibrant culture and flavours of local Mauritian Rum where they also provide as samples. Mari Kontan showcases the history, language, food, music and dance of the Sugar Island. You can taste the sample here of various Mauritian Rum and also purchase the same as souvenirs when you get back home.
