On November 27th, the entire city of Dubai will turn into a running track and this is the initiative for Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) and this event can be participated by both residents and visitors where one can run citywide. The event is held in association with FitBit and Cigna.
During the event, the whole of Dubai will be turned into a personalized running track for all people irrespective of fitness level, age, and abilities and this exciting event will be a flagship fitness movement will be launched by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai.
For Dubai Run, everyone from teenagers, young adults, families, and aged residents are invited to showcase their personal best with Dubai Run. You need to register for the same at www.dubairun.com
Participants can run, walk, jog along the preferred route, location with family. You can either chose to run from Jebel Ali to Jumeirah, and Downtown to Dubai Creek along with your community.
If you are not sure about running, DFC is launching 28-day training programs, and these programs are specially curated and designed by professional athletes who include Tania Lolla Kaddoura, Manal Rostom, Luke Mathews, Abdullah bin Hajjar, Lee Ryan, and Luke Gaffney.
You can check the website for further details and the trainers will provide expert mentorship for you to prepare on how to run. The training program will feature various step-by-step fitness guides for participants of all levels, and it does not matter if you participate in a 2km run or 10km run.
Launched in 2017, the fourth edition of the citywide fitness movement is all set to empower everyone and strengthen the spirit of the whole community to commit to 30 minutes of activity for 30 days.
This year, the theme of the run is What’s Your 30? And this program aims to motivate people to embrace an active lifestyle that best suits their preferences regardless of age, interest, ability, and fitness level.
