One of the most popular locations in the Middle East, Dubai has eased air travel restrictions for its tourists and residents, and from July 7 onwards the Middle Eastern city will be open to tourists.
“Tourists required to present recent Covid-19 negative certificate or undergo testing at Dubai airports,” the Dubai Media Office said on Sunday.
From Monday onwards, the citizens of Dubai can return and also the residents and citizens of Dubai can resume outbound travel said the media.
Dubai had imposed a strict lockdown to curb the spread of Coronavirus. Its flagship airline, the Emirates had halted the passenger flight and the Dubai Expo 2020 which was scheduled to start in the month of October 2020 has been postponed to 2021.
In spite of easing travel restrictions, some movements on internal travel still have restrictions which will be lifted once the case recedes.
So far 50,000 cases have been detected with 302 deaths and recently, Dubai has seen a lower number of cases from past weeks due to strict restrictions and governmental programmes to sanitize the city, also there are many tests conducted per day which shows the downward trend of the cases.
