Complete Char Dham yatra arrangements by April 30 says Uttarakhand CM

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat has directed his officials to complete the arrangements to Char Dham Yatra by April 30. A statement from the government read “No laxity will be tolerated towards the work. Speed of the work shall be enhanced.”

The statement further added that the CM will be reviewing the arrangements himself and he also ensured that the assigned work should be completed on time and there should also be no compromise on quality. The CM will also be conducting the terrestrial inspection of the works and has directed all secretaries to also periodically inspect the work completed.

The CM also said that the road improvement is needed to be completed before Char Dham yatra, regarding this the press release from the statement also read, “Road-related work should be completed in time on the travel routes and its adjoining areas as well. To facilitate the journey, adequate arrangements for drinking water, sanitation, signages, and other basic facilities should be made on the travel routes.”

Passengers can now avail of helicopter service which makes it easier for devotees and it would not be a hassle for Char Dham Yatra. The CM emphasized that online arrangements and ticket booking should be in place with special attention that is needed to be given for transparency in the ticket.

The press release also says that early action plans are needed to be taken and also provide drinking water, ATMs, and adequate deployment of water tanks along the routes.

During the travel season, authorities should ensure that all arrangements are in place with health facilities along the travel routes. Proper health facilities should be present with the regular ambulance, heli-ambulance service, and availability of ICU, oxygen, and ventilator support to be given in case of emergency.
