Bloggers Retreat @ Chariot 22nd to 24th September 2017

Day 1

I arrived at the resort sharp 9:00 Am. Other fellow bloggers followed MacroTraveller 😉 8:30 am -11:30 am (Arrival Timings).

I loved the traditional welcome by staff. Followed by a welcome drink, meet & greet on arrival and check-in was done.

We all had Lunch at Kapi restaurant from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm. The Kapi restaurant amazed me by the food quality, varieties and above all caring and friendly staffs. It was a splendid treat which aroused my taste buds.

Then, Tour of property from 3:00 pm until 4:30 pm followed by hi-tea. The Chariot Beach Resort Mahabalipuram; a 42-acre marvellous property and a perfect weekend getaway.

Vice-President Sales Mr. Thulasiram gave a short presentation on Chariot Beach Resorts at Orchid Hall 5 pm to 6 pm. It was amazing to know all the insights of the property.
It was followed by Party at coast 7:30 pm (Karaoke and Bloggers Got Talent) along with cocktail dinner followed by Campfire with stories about Mahabalipuram. Bloggers showcased the other talents, such as singing, dancing, mimicry, etc. It was wholly a fun-filled evening. At the end of Day 1, MacroTraveller was set for a staggered spa session. Rejuvenating Spa Experience. The spa has the most fantastic location, overlooking the beach, granting you the perfect space to relax and unwind with spa treatments.

Day 2 The first day was nothing less than perfect. MacroTraveller’s second day kicked-off Catamaran ride into the sea. I went on to watch shore temple which is under water. It was a fantastic experience.

Note: The Chariot Beach resort Mahabalipuram organizes the Catamaran ride only on prior requests.

I had a light Breakfast. The real highlight was to enjoy in the activity area. Neighborhood activity Zone 09:30 am to 1:00 pm.

To name a few activities, I tried my hands on Burma Bridge. You can try Flying fox, Zipline, Dynamic Challenging Course, Tarzan Swing, pottery, mud-wrestling, fix the bug, tennis courts and much more. All pursuits act as a stress buster, revive one’s mood and also helps in burning some calories. After some serious workout. I headed for Lunch at Kapi. Kapi serves ala carte and buffet all day, multi-cuisine dining options.

The Olympic size pool overlooking the beach is worth a dip and a special mention to the food that is offered. The hotel team is always there to make sure you have a good time during your stay.

The swimming pool was one of the best sections of the resort. This Olympic sized pool surrounded by palm trees is clean, vast and ready for a dip. MacroTraveller spent quality time at the pool playing volleyball, polo and munching on tea and snacks with the fellow bloggers. MacroTraveller ended the Day 2 with a Dinner at Rockgarden (DJ + dance).Day 3 Activites!

Sightseeing! From 6:00 am until 8:30 am Mahabalipuram trails (tour of the city). I visited the Shore Temple, Arjun’s Penance, Five Rathas, Krishna’s Butterball and Lighthouse. You can also walk to the Shore Temple via the beach. The Five Rathas and an Indian Seashell Museum are barely 5 minutes away from the Chariot Resort. All bloggers had Breakfast at 8:30 am. Later we chilled out with Photo and video sessions from 10:00 am until 11:30 am. Again Lunch at Kapi Restaurant from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm.
