For some time, diving has ceased to be a minority activity to become a plan enjoyed by more and more people. Of course, the extraordinary underwater world is worth visiting, and for that reason, we bring you a few destinations in which you will discover the beauty of the bottom of the sea.

  1. Raja Ampat (West Papua, Indonesia)

This destination has virgin reefs that harbour a huge amount of life. The variety of species that we can find is huge, and therefore it is considered one of the best places to practice diving. They have come to count 300 different species in a single day diving, so it is uncountable the amount that lives here.

  1. Cocos Island (Costa Rica)

In the middle of nowhere, we find an uninhabited island but very well cared for by biologists, researchers, and many more professionals, since it is considered all of it, together with its waters, a National Park. It is an ideal place to see great sharks of various types, among other things.

  1. Komodo National Park (Indonesia)

This park was founded in the year 1980 and has more than 2000 square kilometers of extension between the three islands that compose it. Underwater life is abundant since the environment is very well protected.

  1. Great Barrier Reef (Australia)

We are facing the largest coral reef in the world. It was discovered in 1768 by James Cook and is currently considered a World Heritage Site. A place that has to be taken care of due to the importance and quantity of species that inhabit it.

  1. El Hierro (Canary Islands, Spain)

In our country, there are also perfect places to enjoy this activity. On this island, there is the La Restinga Marine Reserve, ideal for diving and observing species of all kinds, since it has some special characteristics due to being protected.

  1. Maldives Islands

The crystalline and warm waters are the main attraction of these beautiful islands. The coral bottom awaits a large amount of marine fauna, such as the whale shark, a not very well-known species. It is also an ideal place to practice snorkelling for those who are not yet convinced with diving.

  1. Palau (Micronesia)

The most significant of this destination is the Lake of the Jellyfish, a place in which the pecks of these are not feared since they are harmless. However, we also find other species such as turtles, sharks or tropical fish.
