Noticing the improving situation of coronavirus in the country, the Indian government has urged many foreign nations to ease travel restrictions that have been placed for Indian citizens.
Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Arindam Bagchi during a press meet informed that due to the improvement of the covid situation in the country they have been talking with foreign countries about easing travel restrictions for Indians. The spokesperson also added that this would also assist in the economic recovery. He also mentioned that there might be positive outcomes and they hope that the countries will take steps to normalise the movement of people from India.
Also, the spokesperson mentioned that a draft has been submitted to World Health Organization by Bharat Biotech Limited which produces Covaxin to get the vaccine recognised where Bharat Biotech has submitted all necessary documents to the global body earlier this month.
He also mentioned that half of the EU nations recognise Covishield which will facilitate travel to Indians
